Snowman Poem

One cold and quiet winter day

I made a snowman fat.

His eyes were coal, his hat was Dad’s,

My sister thought of that!

I got a carrot for his nose

A broom for him to hold.

I wrapped my scarf around his neck

To keep him from the cold.

Classroom News

  • Scholastic Book Orders went home before the week break for inclement      weather. If you wish to order any      books, you may send in a check made out to Scholastic, or order      online using our class code. Orders are due tomorrow Tuesday, January 23,      2018.

  • Because of recent snow days, our 100th Day of School has      been changed to Wednesday, Jan. 31 (if we don’t have any more inclement      weather days)!! J Each year, Broadview students celebrate      the 100th Day of School by donating non-perishable food items      to The Good Samaritans Ministry.       The Good Samaritans greatly depend on our food drive to be able to      serve Franklin County families in need.       During our past 100th Day Celebrations, we have been      able to donate over 3,000 food items!
This year, we hope to surpass that total. Each grade will be teaming up to      bring in the most non-perishable food items. The      two grades with the most items to donate will be treated with Mrs.      Johnson’s “Famous” Sausage & Biscuits!

  • Keep sending in your items for the 100th Day Food Drive! So      far, Kindergarten has collected very few itemsJ

  • Parents, as the      temperature begins to get cooler, please send your child to school with a      coat (name inside, please J). If it is not raining, we will be going      outside. If your child has lost a      coat or sweater, you may want to look in the lost and found box outside      the nurse’s office.

  • Most students are in      need of a new box of crayons. Most      children have been using the same box of crayons for five months and have      lost, used, and broken many of their crayons.

  • January Book It will      be due Wednesday, January 31.       Our goal is 20 stories.
