Amber Steele

Mrs. Amber Steele, Principal of Broadview Elementary

I am beyond excited to step into the role of Principal at Broadview Elementary and officially call myself an Eagle! It is truly an honor to join such a dedicated team of educators and support staff who have built the strong reputation and culture that Broadview is known for.

Family Life

I am proud to call Franklin County home. My husband, Brandon Steele, and I were both born and raised in this wonderful community. Together, we are raising our two energetic and kind-hearted boys—Memphis (6) and Nash (4). As a family, we love spending time outdoors and playing a variety of sports. Our deep roots in Franklin County fuel my commitment to making our schools the best they can be for every child and family.

Professional Background

With over a decade of experience in education, I began my career as a 1st and 4th grade teacher at Decherd Elementary, where I also served as Curriculum Instructional Leader and led initiatives like the STEM Club, securing a $5,000 TVA STEM Grant and supporting the school’s Tennessee STEAM Designation. Later, I transitioned into district-wide Literacy Coaching, supporting K–8 educators in instructional best practices and professional development. Most recently, I coordinated summer school programs at Rock Creek and North Lake Elementary Schools, overseeing staff, instruction, and community partnerships to promote student growth and engagement.

Educational Philosophy

At the heart of my leadership is the belief in “Empowering Eagles to Lead, Learn, and Soar.” This philosophy reflects my commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and academically rich environment where every student and staff member is encouraged to grow, take initiative, and reach their fullest potential.

Commitment to the Broadview Community

I am passionate about building strong, positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners. I believe that by working together, we can continue to create a school environment rooted in love, respect, support, and encouragement, a place where every Eagle is proud to belong.

Together, we will nurture and prepare our students for lifelong success by creating a learning community that is positive, engaging, and focused on academic and emotional growth.

Our EAGLES Values

My leadership is grounded in the core values that define the Broadview Eagle spirit:

  • Empower: Building capacity in students and staff to take initiative and lead.

  • Achieve: Setting high expectations and celebrating academic success.

  • Grow: Encouraging continuous learning and personal development.

  • Lead: Modeling ethical leadership and fostering responsibility.

  • Excel: Striving for excellence in all areas of education.

  • Soar: Supporting every Eagle to reach their highest potential.

Looking Ahead

I am thrilled to serve alongside the Broadview team as we continue to grow a learning environment where every child can lead, learn, and soar.

Through collaboration with teachers, families, and community partners, I will work to ensure that Broadview Elementary is a welcoming nest, grounded in strong relationships and dedicated to nurturing success. Together, we can guide every Eagle to soar confidently into their future.
