Hello, my name is Carie Atkinson. Most of my students call me Mrs. Carie. This is the start of my eleventh year teaching. I have taught grades, 7th, 8th, 2nd, K, 1st, however most of my experience is where my heart is 3rd grade. The past few years we have departmentalized and I have the privilege of teaching math and science. Therefore, I am blessed to teach all third graders.

I grew up in Franklin County in the Belvidere area. I graduated from Martin Methodist College with a Bachelor's of Science in Education in 2008.  My husband James and I have two sons one in first grade and the other due in January. I love Charlie Brown and Snoopy. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. My two favorite places to go on vacation are Florida and the mountains. 

We are going to have a great year in third grade together!
